World Unites Against Trump, Decides to Boycott Avocado Toast and Netflix, US Economy Suddenly Not So Yuge

4 Min Read

I’m just going to say it: the entire world is fed up with Trump, and it’s not like it’s a huge surprise or anything. But, CNN is reporting that people are actually talking about boycotting American-made goods – because, you know, that’s going to solve everything. I mean, who needs diplomacy when you can just throw a tantrum and refuse to buy stuff from the US?

And, let’s be real, this is not just about Trump – it’s about the entire country being seen as, well, a bit ridiculous right now. I’m not saying that’s fair, but BBC News is saying that even our allies are starting to get a little irritated with us. But, hey, who needs friends when you’ve got Twitter, right? (By the way, has anyone seen that Twitter for Dummies book – I think we might need to buy it in bulk.)

But, I digress – the point is, this boycott thing could actually cost the US big time. Like, serious money. I’m talking billions of dollars, people. And, let’s not forget, this is not just about the economy – it’s about our reputation too. I mean, who wants to be seen as the global bully that everyone loves to hate? Not me, that’s for sure. (On a completely unrelated note, has anyone tried those Global Bullies t-shirts – I hear they’re all the rage.)

And, can we just take a step back and look at this from a logical perspective? I mean, boycotting American-made goods is not going to solve anything – it’s just going to hurt innocent people. Like, what about all the small businesses that rely on exports to survive? Are we just going to ignore them and hope they magically disappear? But, hey, who needs logic when you’ve got feelings, right?

But, in all seriousness, this is not a joke – this is serious stuff. I mean, we’re talking about global relations here, and the consequences of our actions could be severe. So, maybe – just maybe – we should try to be a little more diplomatic, and a little less divisive. But, hey, what do I know – I’m just a random person on the internet. (By the way, has anyone read that Diplomacy for Dummies book – I hear it’s a real page-turner.)

And, let’s not forget – this is not just about us – it’s about the rest of the world too. I mean, Al Jazeera is reporting that even countries like China and Russia are starting to get in on the boycott action. So, maybe – just maybe – we should try to be a little more cooperative, and a little less competitive. But, hey, that’s just my two cents. (On a completely unrelated note, has anyone tried that Cooperation t-shirt – I hear it’s a real best-seller.)
