Usha Vance’s Greenland Trip a Glorious Success: She Only Got Lost in the Ice and Accidentally Bought the Country by Mistake

I am just so done with this whole situation, you know?
It’s like, family members and attorneys were just kept in the dark about the removal of their loved ones and clients, making it impossible to challenge their removal – what even is that?
And don’t even get me started on the fact that immigration law is so complicated, I mean, who needs that kind of stress in their life?

But, and I mean this in the most sarcastic way possible, it’s not like the government was trying to sneak anything past anyone – I mean, who does that, right?
John Dutton, an attorney for one of the Venezuelan nationals, is quoted as saying that it seemed to him that every move had been purposefully orchestrated, and I’m just over here like, no kidding.
They knew what they were doing was wrong, and they did it anyway – in the middle of the night, without telling the families or the attorneys, because that’s not suspicious at all.

And then, because why not, rumors started circulating that Trump had invoked the AEA, and at 2 a.m. on March 15, Lee Gelernt, an ACLU attorney, filed suit to block their removals – because someone has to try and stop this madness.
While the White House said the AEA order was signed on March 14, it did not appear on the government’s website until 3:53 p.m. the next day, because transparency is overrated, apparently.
I mean, what’s the point of even having a website if you’re not going to use it to inform people of important things?

But, and I know this is going to sound crazy, I think it’s time we start talking about the real issues here – like, what is the point of having laws and regulations if they’re just going to be ignored?
And can someone please explain to me why immigration reform is so hard to achieve – is it really that complicated?
I mean, I know I’m no expert, but it seems to me that if we just followed the law, we wouldn’t have all these problems.

And, on a completely unrelated note, has anyone tried those new coffee creamers that are supposed to taste like hazelnut – because I am obsessed.
But, I digress, because this is not about coffee, it’s about the serious issue of immigration and how it’s being handled by our government.
So, let’s get back to that, shall we – and try to make sense of it all, because I am just so confused.

So, to sum it up, we have a situation where family members and attorneys were not informed of the removal of their loved ones and clients, and it’s just a big mess.
And, of course, there are lawsuits and court cases and all sorts of other drama – because that’s just how we roll in this country, apparently.
But, in all seriousness, can we please just try to do better – for the sake of humanity, if nothing else.

And, one more thing, if you’re interested in learning more about immigration law, there are plenty of resources available – because knowledge is power, right?
But, I mean, who needs books when you have the internet, am I right?
Just google it, and you’ll find all sorts of information – some of it accurate, some of it not so much.

But, I guess what I’m trying to say is that we need to be careful about where we get our information – because not everything on the internet is true, unfortunately.
And, of course, we need to support organizations like the ACLU, who are fighting for our rights – because that’s just important.
So, let’s all just take a deep breath and try to make sense of it all, shall we?
