U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, is at it again, and I am totally here for it. But, can we talk about how she’s been on a roll lately, calling out the Trump administration for their, shall we say, questionable decisions? And, I mean, who can blame her? I’d probably tell Trump to grow a spine too, if I were in her shoes. Rep. Al Green’s removal from the House chamber is still fresh in our minds, and now Crockett is speaking her mind, telling Trump to stop being (Vladimir) Putin’s buddy.
But, let’s get real here, folks. I’m sipping on my morning coffee, trying to process the fact that we’re still dealing with Trump’s antics. And, Crockett’s comment about telling Elon Musk to "fuck off"? I mean, I’ve had those days too, where I just want to tell someone to, you know, take a hike. Her interview with Call To Activism was everything and more – I love how she just tells it like it is.
And, have you seen the comments on her videos? People are calling her an icon, a queen for the people. I’m not surprised, though – she’s got spine, and she’s not afraid to speak her mind. But, I have to ask, what’s going on with our country? We’re fighting with Greenland, Canada, and Mexico, yet we’re best buds with Putin? This whole Greenland debacle has me scratching my head – what’s next, a trade war with Greenland?
Now, I know some of you might be thinking, "But, what about diplomacy?" And, to that, I say, diplomacy is great, but not when it comes to dealing with bullies like Trump. Sometimes, you just have to tell it like it is, and that’s exactly what Crockett is doing. Her TikTok video was everything – I love how she just lays it all out.
But, let’s not forget, folks, we’re living in a time where facts are facts, and alternative facts are, well, just not facts. So, when Crockett says we’re living in a terrible nightmare, I’m inclined to agree with her. These tariffs against Canada and Mexico are just the tip of the iceberg.
And, can we talk about how Crockett’s been praised for her comments? I mean, I’m not surprised – she’s a national hero, in my book. Her response to Elon Musk was everything – I love how she just tells him to take a hike. But, I have to ask, what’s next? Will we see more politicians speaking their minds, or will we continue to live in a world where politics as usual is the norm?
But, in the meantime, I’ll just be over here, sipping my coffee, and waiting for the next shoe to drop. And, who knows, maybe we’ll see a trade war with Canada next. Or, perhaps we’ll see Trump try to buy Greenland (just kidding, that’s already been tried). All I know is that I’m here for the drama, and I’m rooting for Crockett all the way.
