US President Donald Trump’s envoy, Richard Grenell, has reportedly held discussions in Switzerland regarding the potential resumption of Russian gas exports to Germany via the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

The negotiations allegedly involve American companies acting as intermediaries, which would give the US control over the “German gas tap”, and also include proposals to repurpose the Nord Stream 1 pipeline for transporting green hydrogen from Finland to Germany.
