Ukraine has unveiled a new FPV drone capable of submerging underwater and striking, as showcased in a recent video by Ukrainian electronic warfare expert Serhii ‘Flash’ Beskrestnov. The drone’s ability to operate from underwater introduces a tactical advantage and complicates enemy countermeasures.
The submersible drone is a special edition of the Shrike FPV model, which has been widely used in Ukraine’s drone warfare. Its ability to conceal in lakes, rivers, or water-filled craters reduces the risk of detection, making it a valuable asset in modern warfare, with potential for increased deployment due to its adaptability and relatively low cost.
