Trump Sued for Trying to Control Elections, Or As He Calls It, ‘Tuesday’

5 Min Read

Wow, just wow, can you believe this guy? Muldoon, the businessman with a stellar reputation, has been donating big bucks to the political campaigns of former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt, whose office just so happened to ignore all the complaints about Muldoon’s shady businesses. And, of course, Muldoon and Patel are just friends, living at the same address, sharing incorporation and legal services – totally not a red flag or anything.

But wait, it gets better! Muldoon and Patel even took a golfing trip to Scotland together, because who doesn’t love a good game of golf in the middle of a potential ethics violation? And, as an added bonus, Patel was a federal employee on the National Security Council at the time, which means he was totally not allowed to accept gifts. But hey, who needs rules when you’re having fun with your buddies? (Can someone please explain to me why this is not a bigger deal?)

And then there’s the fact that Patel is now in charge of not one, but two federal law enforcement agencies – the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Because, you know, having extensive ties to someone with questionable business practices is exactly what you want in a law enforcement leader. I mean, who needs integrity or ethics when you can have golfing buddies? You can find more about the FBI corruption on Amazon. But, I guess, in the Trump administration, the appearance of corruption is just a minor detail. (Can someone please wake me up from this nightmare?)

But, let’s take a step back and analyze this situation. Muldoon’s businesses have been accused of all sorts of shady dealings, and yet, he’s still managed to worm his way into the good graces of law enforcement officials. And Patel, well, he’s just along for the ride, enjoying the perks of being friends with a wealthy businessman. It’s like they say, “absolute power corrupts absolutely”. You can read more about Patel’s shenanigans on Twitter.

And, as I’m writing this, I’m wondering, what’s next? Will we find out that Muldoon and Patel are secretly running a Ponzi scheme together? Or maybe they’ll just accidentally delete all the evidence of their wrongdoings. (Can someone please send me a coffee IV, because I’m going to need it to stay awake for this drama?) But, seriously, folks, this is not a joke. This is the state of our law enforcement agencies, and it’s absolutely terrifying.

But, hey, at least we can all agree that this is one big mess. And, who knows, maybe someday we’ll get to the bottom of it all. (Maybe.) Until then, I’ll just be over here, shaking my head in disgust. You can read more about the FBI’s latest antics on the Wall Street Journal.

And, as I’m finishing up this article, I’m reminded of the old saying, “power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely”. It’s a shame that some people in power seem to have forgotten this. But, hey, at least we can all learn from their mistakes. (Right?) You can find more about politics and corruption on Amazon.

But, I guess that’s all for today, folks. It’s been a wild ride, and I’m exhausted. Thanks for sticking with me through this long and winding road of corruption and deceit. Until next time, stay vigilant, and keep on reading! (And, of course, don’t forget to buy some coffee on Amazon.) You can find more about coffee mugs on Amazon.
