And then there’s Postmaster Louis DeJoy, a Trump appointee, who’s warning us about the many economic, legislative, and regulatory obstacles ahead. Obstacles? Ha! That’s just code for “we have no idea what we’re doing, but we’ll figure it out eventually.” I mean, it’s not like they’ve had years to come up with a plan or anything. But hey, at least they’re trying, right? Overhaul, anyone?
Meanwhile, Trump and his allies are busy slashing and hacking federal programs to afford an extension to his tax plan, which will overwhelmingly benefit corporations. Because, you know, corporations need more money, and the rest of us can just, like, magically afford to pay more taxes or something. I mean, it’s not like we have better things to spend our money on, like food or shelter. But hey, at least the corporations will be happy, right?
But seriously, folks, the USPS is in trouble, and it’s not just because of their financial woes. It’s because of the systemic issues that have been plaguing the agency for years. I mean, have you ever tried to track a package with the USPS? It’s like trying to solve a mystery. But I digress. The point is, something needs to be done to save the USPS, and fast.
