Shocking Poll Reveals Most Americans Can’t Tell the Difference Between Trump and a Dictator, But Honestly Who Can?

7 Min Read

I mean, can you believe it? Nearly twice as many Americans view President Donald Trump as a “dictator” compared to Volodymyr Zelensky, according to a new poll. And this is after Trump called Zelensky a dictator, because, you know, that’s exactly what you do when you’re trying to make friends with world leaders. By the way, have you seen the prices of coffee lately? It’s like they’re trying to rob us blind. But, I digress.

But, seriously, why would Trump say something like that about Zelensky? Does he not know that the Ukrainian president is, like, a close U.S. ally and all that jazz? I guess not, because Trump has been busy enacting broad reforms through executive actions, which, of course, has some Democrats and critics warning of a looming “constitutional crisis.” Because, you know, that’s not something we want to deal with right now. And, if you’re interested in learning more about the constitution, I recommend checking out this book on Amazon.

And then there’s the whole Russia-Ukraine war thing, which, let’s be real, is a total mess. I mean, who thought it was a good idea to invade a country, right? But, hey, at least we’re trying to do something about it, with the U.S. and Saudi Arabia being all involved in peace talks and whatnot. Although, it’s worth noting that Trump did say that Ukraine started the war, which, according to the BBC, is not entirely accurate. But, who needs facts when you have, you know, opinions and stuff?

But, I guess what’s really interesting is that Trump is going to meet with Putin in Saudi Arabia soon, which, I mean, could be a total game-changer. Or, you know, it could just be a big ol’ disaster waiting to happen. Either way, it’ll be fun to watch, right? And, if you want to learn more about the history of US-Russia relations, I recommend checking out this book on Amazon.

Anyway, where was I? Ah yes, the poll. So, apparently, 41 percent of participants view Trump as a dictator, while 22 percent think Zelensky is one. And, of course, there are all sorts of interesting breakdowns and whatnot, like how women are more likely to think Trump is a dictator than men, and how Republicans are all like “no way, Trump is not a dictator.” But, hey, who doesn’t love a good partisan divide, right?

And, finally, I just want to say that I’m so tired of all these politicians and their drama. Can’t we all just get along, like, for one second? But, I guess that’s just not how politics works, right? So, instead, we’ll just have to keep on arguing and name-calling and, you know, being all divisive and stuff. Joy. Check out these books on politics on Amazon for more information.

But, in all seriousness, this poll is actually pretty interesting, because it shows how divided we are as a country. And, you know, maybe that’s not necessarily a bad thing, because it means we’re all passionate about something, right? Even if that something is, like, totally wrong and misguided. But, hey, at least we’re all talking about it, which, I guess, is the first step towards, you know, actually doing something about it.

And, on a totally unrelated note, has anyone tried those new coffee machines on Amazon? I heard they’re, like, totally amazing and will change your life forever. Or, you know, at least make your coffee taste better. Which, let’s be real, is basically the same thing.

But, I digress. So, what do you guys think about this whole Trump-Zelensky-Putin thing? Do you think Trump is a dictator, or is he just, like, a really passionate guy who loves America? Let me know in the comments, because, you know, I’m dying to hear your opinions and stuff. And, if you want to learn more about the situation in Ukraine, I recommend checking out the BBC’s coverage of the conflict.

And, finally, I just want to say that I hope we can all learn to, like, get along and stuff. Because, at the end of the day, we’re all human beings, right? And, you know, we all deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of our political beliefs or opinions. Unless, of course, you’re a dictator, in which case, you know, sorry not sorry. Check out these books on human rights on Amazon for more information.

But, in all seriousness, this is a really complex issue, and there are no easy answers. So, let’s all just take a deep breath, and try to, like, understand each other’s perspectives, okay? And, if you want to learn more about the situation in Ukraine, I recommend checking out the Council on Foreign Relations’ coverage of the conflict.

And, on a final note, I just want to say that I’m so grateful to be living in a country where we can, like, freely express our opinions and stuff. Because, you know, that’s not something that everyone in the world has, and we should, like, appreciate it and all that jazz. So, let’s all just take a moment to, like, appreciate our freedom of speech, and try to use it, you know, responsibly and stuff.
