Russia’s ambassador to the UK, Andrei Kelin, has stated that Moscow is seeking a “quick peace” in Ukraine and that London is leading the opposition to it. In an interview, Kelin said Russia is prepared to negotiate and wants its territorial advances in Ukraine to be recognized as part of any peace deal.
Kelin also ruled out the presence of NATO peacekeepers in Ukraine, calling the idea “senseless”. The Russian ambassador’s comments come amid a shift in the global landscape, with the US and Russia engaging in diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
