Royal Society to Debate Whether Elon Musk’s Ego Should Be Launch into Space to Save Humanity

3 Min Read

And let’s get this straight, the Royal Society is having a meeting to discuss whether or not to expel Elon Musk, the Tesla and SpaceX boss, because of his recent antics. But, I mean, what’s the big deal, right? He’s just a 21st-century Isambard Kingdom Brunel, a genius, a visionary… (or so they thought).

He was made a fellow of Britain’s most prestigious scientific institution in 2018, and now they’re like, “oh wait, he’s not so cool after all”. And I’m like, what took you so long? Didn’t you see the red flags waving everywhere? I mean, Donald Trump is not exactly the most trustworthy guy, and yet Musk is like, “yep, I’m gonna back him”.

But, on a more serious note, it’s not just about Musk’s personal opinions or political leanings; it’s about the integrity of the scientific community. I mean, can you trust a scientist who downplays climate change? It’s like, come on, we have the facts, we have the data, and we have the research to back it up. And yet, there are still people like Musk who refuse to accept the truth.

And, by the way, have you seen the picture of Musk with Trump in the Oval Office? I mean, it’s like they’re best buds or something. But, I digress. The point is, more than 2,300 scientists from around the world have signed an open letter calling for Musk’s expulsion from the Royal Society. And, honestly, I think it’s about time.

But, what’s really ironic here is that the Royal Society is worried that if they expel Musk, it might damage public trust in scientific objectivity. And I’m like, aren’t you worried about the fact that Musk is already damaging the scientific community with his antics? I mean, it’s not like he’s some kind of martyr or something. He’s a billionaire with a lot of influence, and he’s using that influence to spread misinformation. And, by the way, has anyone seen the books he’s been reading lately? Maybe we should start a book club to discuss the implications of his reading list.

And, on a completely unrelated note, has anyone tried the new coffee at the local café? It’s like, whoa. Okay, back to the topic at hand. So, what do you think, should the Royal Society expel Elon Musk? Or should they just, like, talk to him about his behavior? I mean, come on, it’s not like he’s a child who needs to be scolded. He’s a grown man with a lot of power and influence. And, honestly, I think it’s time someone took him to task for his actions.
