Rheinmetall plans to start producing its own rocket engines for guided missiles and space reconnaissance satellites, aiming to expand its product range and meet growing demand. The company anticipates a two-year adjustment period for engine production due to equipment acquisition issues.
Rheinmetall also intends to build a new plant for satellite components and electronics, aiming to produce at least six satellites in a joint project with Finnish manufacturer ICEYE, potentially generating €200 million in revenue. The company’s sales volume reached €9.7 billion in 2024, with a record-high €55 billion backlog of commissioned orders.
