RFK Jr. Declares War on Antidepressants, Because Clearly the Real Enemy Wasn’t the Vaccines This Whole Time

Seriously, what is going on here? Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has just been confirmed as the Secretary of the US Department of Health and Human Services, and he’s already making quite the splash – for all the wrong reasons, of course. And let’s be real, who needs science when you’ve got opinions, right? (Actually, evidence-based research is kind of a big deal in the medical field, but who’s counting?)

But I guess that’s what happens when you write books claiming that vaccines are the devil’s work (spoiler alert: they’re not). And then you go on to lead an anti-vaccine advocacy group because, why not? I mean, it’s not like you’re going to be in charge of the nation’s health or anything… oh wait.

And then, in a shocking turn of events (not really), Kennedy decides to go after SSRIs – you know, those super addictive and totally-not-safe medications that are actually pretty well-studied and non-addictive. But hey, who needs facts when you’ve got a livestream with Elon Musk to spread some misinformation? (By the way, has anyone seen my tin foil hat? I think I left it in my other pocket.)

So, what’s the plan to combat this so-called “health crisis” of 13 percent of American adults taking SSRIs? Why, it’s to create wellness farms, of course! Because what could possibly go wrong with sending people to rural areas to grow their own organic food and get “reparented”? I mean, it’s not like that sounds like a cult or anything.

And let’s not forget the 15,000 physicians who opposed Kennedy’s appointment – I guess they just didn’t get the memo that science is overrated. But hey, at least we can all sleep better at night knowing that Kennedy is on the job, fighting against those evil SSRIs and vaccines with all his might.

But, in all seriousness, this is some pretty scary stuff – and I’m not just talking about the horror movie that is Kennedy’s healthcare plan. I’m talking about the fact that someone with such blatant disregard for science and evidence is in charge of our nation’s health. So, what’s next? Are we going to start reading horoscopes to determine medical treatment? (Actually, that might be an improvement at this point.)
