But seriously, the White House Press Secretary thinks we’re just going to believe that Trump was dead serious about deporting U.S. citizens? Like, what’s next? Are they going to tell us that the sun rises in the west and we should all just accept it?
And can we talk about how ridiculous this whole situation is? I mean, I’ve seen some crazy things in my time, but this takes the cake. Or should I say, it takes the deportation order? (Sorry, had to). But honestly, what’s the logic behind deporting U.S. citizens? Is it going to be like a bad joke where they’re all like “gotcha, you’re not American after all”?
But in all seriousness, this is some Orwellian stuff right here. I mean, who needs facts and reality when you’ve got a Press Secretary who can just spin anything into a conspiracy theory? And don’t even get me started on the hypocrisy of it all. Like, what’s the point of even having a Constitution if you’re just going to throw it out the window whenever it’s convenient?

(Side note: has anyone seen that dystopian novel about a totalitarian society where women have lost all their rights? Yeah, it’s like that).
But I digress. The point is, this deportation business is just the tip of the iceberg. And if we don’t wake up and start paying attention, who knows what’s going to happen next? Maybe we’ll all just disappear one day, and no one will even notice. (Okay, maybe that’s a bit dramatic, but you get my point). And by the way, has anyone checked the fact-checking sites lately? Just wondering.
And to all the Trump supporters out there, I have to ask: what’s going on? Are you guys serious? Do you really think this is okay? (Rhetorical question, I know). But honestly, I just don’t get it. It’s like, don’t you care about the future of our country? Don’t you care about the consequences of your actions? (Or should I say, the consequences of your inaction?).
But in all fairness, I guess we should give the Press Secretary the benefit of the doubt. Maybe Trump really wasn’t joking about deporting U.S. citizens. Maybe he’s just a really bad comedian. (I mean, it’s possible, right?). And who knows, maybe this is all just a big misunderstanding. Maybe we’ll all just wake up tomorrow and everything will be okay again. (Yeah, right).
