Mohamed Amra, a fugitive, was arrested in Bucharest after a months-long manhunt. He was identified through facial recognition tools and fingerprints.
Amra had escaped from a prison van after it was ambushed by gunmen, resulting in the deaths of two prison officers. He was convicted of burglary and faced charges for a kidnapping that led to a death. His arrest was announced by Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau, who also announced the arrest of 10 people suspected of helping Amra.
