Canadian visits to the United States have plummeted amid tariff concerns and fears of poor treatment at the border, with a 32% decline in car trips and 13.5% decline in air travel in March compared to the previous year.
This decline is attributed to growing resentment among Canadians towards the US, as well as stricter registration rules and reports of foreigners being detained, prompting Canadians to explore alternative travel destinations, with a 9% increase in return trips from countries other than the US.
