NATO is conducting its largest combat exercises of 2025, known as Steadfast Dart 2025, in Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece, involving approximately 10,000 troops from nine nations. The exercises aim to test the alliance’s ability to rapidly deploy large-scale forces on its eastern border.
The drills are part of NATO’s Allied Reaction Force, established to deploy rapidly and integrate conventional forces with cyber and space-based technologies, in response to shifting geopolitical landscape and concerns over the US commitment to European security.
