Nation Horrified as Hundreds of People Actually Leave Their Couches to Protest Trump

4 Min Read

I’m just so done with all this, and I mean, who isn’t, right? The sheer audacity of the Trump administration is just mind-boggling. So, on Saturday, people from all 50 states (because, of course, we need to make America grateful again) gathered to protest the president’s laughable agenda.

And, let’s be real, the president was probably too busy playing golf in Florida to even notice (or care, for that matter). But, honestly, who can blame him? I’d want to escape the chaos he’s created too.

The Hands Off! protest (what a clever name, by the way) was all about telling Trump to, well, back off our national parks, small businesses, public education, and healthcare for veterans. Oh, and abortion rights, fair elections, and the deportation of legal immigrants – you know, the usual stuff. But, I guess when you’re a master of controversy, you’ve got to expect some pushback.

Now, I’m not one to toot my own horn (okay, maybe I am), but can we talk about the sheer brilliance of some of these protest signs? I mean, "I’m tariffied. Are you?" is just genius. And don’t even get me started on the "Make lying wrong again" sign – it’s like they know something we don’t.

But, in all seriousness, it’s heartbreaking to see people like Marilyn Finner, a 65-year-old customer service worker, feeling compelled to protest because she’s concerned about her retirement benefits. I mean, what’s the point of working hard your whole life if you can’t even enjoy your golden years in peace? And, of course, there’s the obligatory mention of Social Security, because, let’s face it, that’s just a hot mess waiting to happen.

And then there’s the MAGA movement, because what’s a protest without a little bit of vitriol? I mean, who needs FACTS when you’ve got passion, right? It’s like they’re trying to out-crazy each other, and honestly, it’s just exhausting.

But, hey, at least we’ve got ADIUS ( Indivisible, MoveOn, and other groups) organizing these protests, because someone’s gotta keep it real. And, let’s be real, it’s not like they’re going to magically fix everything, but hey, it’s a start.

I guess what I’m trying to say is, it’s time to wake up and realize that we can’t just sit idly by while our country is being torn apart. So, go ahead, grab a sign, and join the fray – because, honestly, what’s the worst that could happen?

Oh, and by the way, if you’re feeling inspired to make a difference, you can start by checking out some of these protest signs on Amazon. Just saying.

Anyway, I’m done ranting for now. It’s time for a coffee break (or three). But, hey, if you’re still with me, thanks for tuning in – I guess. And, to all the protesters out there, keep on keeping on – we’ve got this (or at least, I hope we do).

P.S. If you’re feeling generous, you can always donate to some of these amazing organizations that are fighting the good fight. Just saying.
