The Cabinet Office, led by Pat McFadden, is cutting 2,100 jobs, approximately a third of its workforce, over the next two years as part of a civil service reform effort.
The cuts, which include 1,200 redundancies and 900 transfers to other departments, aim to save £110m annually by 2028, with the goal of creating a leaner and more focused Cabinet Office to drive government reform and deliver frontline services.
