Lindt Considers Tariff Tactic: European Chocolate May Soon Flow into Canada

Lindt and Sprungli, a Swiss chocolate maker, is shifting its supply of confectionery to Canada from European sources to avoid tariffs imposed in the U.S.-Canada trade dispute.

The company currently imports about 50% of its chocolates from U.S. factories, but plans to switch to European sources to mitigate the effect of the tariffs, according to a Lindt spokesperson.
