JD Vance, the vice president, claims he was confronted by pro-Ukraine protesters in Cincinnati on Saturday while out walking with his three-year-old daughter. And, supposedly, these protesters were so aggressive that they made his daughter “increasingly anxious and scared” – poor kid, right? (I mean, who wouldn’t be scared of a bunch of angry protesters?)
But, apparently, these protesters just happened to stumble upon Vance and his daughter, and they didn’t actually follow them around, as Vance initially claimed. In fact, a video of the incident shows Vance surrounded by Secret Service while protesters ask him about Russia‘s war in Ukraine and the withdrawal of U.S. support. This whole thing just smells like a big publicity stunt to me.
And, let’s be real, Vance’s account of the event is total nonsense. He says he decided to speak with the protesters to try to get them to leave his daughter alone, but really, he was just trying to get some good PR out of the situation. I mean, who tries to have a respectful conversation with a group of protesters who are shouting at them? It’s just not believable.
But, hey, at least Vance is consistent, right? I mean, he’s been saying some pretty ridiculous things lately, like that Russia “certainly” invaded Ukraine in 2022, which is just a total contradiction of what President Trump has been saying. And, of course, he’s been getting roasted by protesters and journalists alike for his role in the whole Oval Office drama with Volodymyr Zelensky.
By the way, have you seen the books about the Ukraine-Russia war on Amazon? There are some really interesting ones, like “The War in Ukraine” and “Ukraine at War”. Anyway, back to Vance.
So, basically, Vance is just trying to cover his own behind by claiming that he was confronted by protesters who were being mean to his daughter. But, really, he’s just trying to distract us from the fact that he’s been making some really bad decisions when it comes to Ukraine. And, honestly, it’s just not working.
But, hey, at least we can all agree that JD Vance is a pretty shady character, right? I mean, who tries to use their three-year-old daughter as a shield to avoid criticism? It’s just gross.
And, can we talk about how Tim Miller from The Bulwark totally roasted Vance on Twitter? He said that Vance was using his daughter as a shield to avoid criticism, and that he’s basically a hypocrite for accusing others of emotional manipulation when he’s doing the same thing. Burn.
Anyway, that’s all for now. I’m just going to go grab a cup of coffee and try to process all of this insanity. Maybe I’ll check out some of those coffee makers on Amazon – I hear they’re really good.
But, seriously, can we just take a step back and look at the bigger picture here? We’ve got a vice president who’s making decisions that are affecting the lives of millions of people, and he’s trying to distract us from that by claiming that he was confronted by protesters who were being mean to his daughter. It’s just not right.
And, honestly, I’m just so tired of all of this drama. Can’t we just have a sane and competent government for once? Is that too much to ask? Apparently so.
So, what do you think about all of this? Do you think Vance is telling the truth, or is he just trying to cover his own behind? Let me know in the comments. And, hey, if you’re feeling generous, maybe you could donate to some charities that support Ukraine – they could really use it right now.
But, anyway, I’m done ranting for now. I hope you all have a great day, and I’ll catch you in the next post. Maybe I’ll have some more coffee by then.
