In Just Five Days, Trump Achieves What Took the Flintstones 100 Years to Do: Going Back to the Stone Age

4 Min Read

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that in just five days, Trump has managed to set the country back nearly 100 years, but I guess that’s what happens when you have a master builder in charge, right? And by master builder, I mean someone who can’t even build a decent wall, let alone a functioning government. But, hey, who needs things like civil rights and environmental protection when you can have a fancy new wall and a bunch of pointless trinkets and souvenirs to sell to your fans?

And don’t even get me started on the immigration policies that are literally tearing families apart, because who needs family values when you can have a good ol’ fashioned wall, am I right? But seriously, folks, have you seen the stats on the number of families separated at the border, it’s like something out of a dystopian novel, and I’m not even kidding, it’s like we’re living in some kind of twisted reality show.

But, I mean, what’s a little thing like human rights when you can have a strong economy, right? I mean, who needs things like healthcare and education when you can have a bunch of rich people getting even richer, it’s like the ultimate trickle-down effect, except instead of trickling down, it’s more like trickling up, and I’m not even kidding, it’s like they’re trying to create some kind of economic apartheid. And by the way, have you seen the book on economic apartheid, it’s like a real eye-opener, trust me.

And, okay, I know I’m getting a little off topic, but have you seen the latest news on the coronavirus, it’s like, we’re literally on the brink of a pandemic, and what is our government doing, they’re busy cutting funding for the CDC, because who needs public health when you can have a bigger military, I mean, it’s not like we’re going to need hospitals and doctors to treat all the people who are going to get sick, right? But, hey, at least we’ll have a strong military to, you know, blow things up, because that’s always the answer, right?

And, but, I mean, seriously, have you seen the op-ed on how Trump is eroding our democracy, it’s like, we’re literally living in some kind of banana republic, where the rule of law doesn’t even matter anymore, and I’m not even kidding, it’s like we’re in some kind of bad dream, and we can’t wake up, because, you know, reality is just too scary. And by the way, have you seen the definition of a banana republic, it’s like, we’re literally fitting the bill, trust me.

And, okay, I know I’m getting a little carried away, but have you seen the article on how the Trump administration is rolling back regulations, it’s like, we’re literally going back in time, to the good old days, when, you know, pollution and discrimination were just part of the game, and I’m not even kidding, it’s like we’re trying to recreate the past, except, you know, without the good parts, like, you know, civil rights and social justice, because who needs those, right? But, hey, at least we’ll have a cleaner environment, said no one ever, because, you know, pollution is just so last season.
