Because, you know, politics isn’t already a circus, House Democrats are planning to force a vote on killing Trump tariffs. And, can we please just take a moment to appreciate the utter brilliance of this plan? I mean, who needs diplomacy when you can just force a vote, right?
But, seriously, what’s the end game here? Are they trying to spark a trade war? Do they not remember the whole China trade war debacle? And, by the way, has anyone checked the price of avocados lately? It’s like they’re trying to make guacamole a luxury item or something.
And, let’s be real, this is all just a big show, a smokescreen to distract us from the real issues. I mean, have you seen the Democratic debate schedule? It’s like they’re trying to put us all to sleep with their endless arguing. But, hey, at least we have popcorn to munch on while we watch the train wreck.
But, I digress, back to these tariffs. So, the Democrats are planning to use a disapproval resolution to try and kill the tariffs. And, because this is politics, it’s all about who can spin this the best. I mean, will they be able to get enough Republican votes to override a presidential veto?
And, can someone please tell me why we’re still using tariffs in the first place? It’s like we’re stuck in some sort of history book, reliving the same old trade wars over and over again. But, hey, at least we have tea to soothe our souls while we watch the economy downturn.
But, what’s the real issue here? Is it the taxes on American consumers? Or is it the impact on businesses? And, by the way, has anyone noticed the layoffs happening left and right? It’s like the job market is just one big rollercoaster ride.
And, I guess what I’m trying to say is, can’t we all just get along? I mean, is it too much to ask for a little common sense in politics? But, hey, I guess that’s just the idealism in me talking. And, on that note, I’m going to go make some coffee and try to wake up from this nightmare.
