And can you believe it, folks, Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade actually broke from the Trump cult, I mean, fan base, to call out Putin as the bad guy (because, you know, that’s not obvious enough). But let’s not get ahead of ourselves here, I mean, it’s not like Kilmeade has been sipping on some truth serum or something (although, that would be pretty cool, right?).
And what’s even more astonishing is that Kilmeade actually defended Ukraine, saying they’re not the bad guys here (wow, what a shocking revelation). But, I mean, seriously, it’s about time someone on Fox News decided to jump off the Trump train (which, let’s be real, has been careening out of control for a while now).
But, and I know this is going to sound crazy, maybe, just maybe, Kilmeade has been reading some history books on Ukraine and realized that, oh wait, they’re not actually the villains here (I know, I know, it’s a wild concept). And, parenthetically speaking, can we please get Kilmeade to read some books on Russian propaganda so he can understand what’s really going on here?
And, let’s get real for a second, if Kilmeade is breaking from Trump, that means something is seriously wrong (like, serious wrong). I mean, it’s not like Kilmeade is some kind of profile in courage or anything (although, I guess it’s better late than never, right?). But, and I’m just throwing this out there, maybe Kilmeade has finally realized that Putin is not exactly a trustworthy guy (shocker, I know).
But, in all seriousness (just for a second, don’t worry), it’s actually kind of refreshing to see someone on Fox News not drinking the Trump Kool-Aid for once (even if it’s just a tiny sip of reality). And, let’s be real, if Kilmeade is breaking from Trump, that means the emperor has no clothes (or at least, that’s what I keep telling myself).
And, as an aside, can someone please explain to me why Brian Kilmeade is still a thing? I mean, I know he’s got a bestselling book and all, but like, what’s next? A Nobel Peace Prize for finally telling the truth? (Just kidding, that’s never going to happen).
But, and this is just a wild guess, maybe Kilmeade’s breaking point was when he realized that Putin is actually a bad guy (I know, I know, it’s a tough concept to grasp). And, let’s get real for a second, if that’s what it takes for Kilmeade to wake up and smell the coffee, then so be it (even if it’s a few years too late). And, as a parting gift, can someone please get Kilmeade a welcome to reality cake or something?
