Okay, let’s get this straight, Elon Musk is complaining about people not being honest, but then he literally lies about astronauts being abandoned in space. And then, when someone calls him out on it, he resorts to using slurs. Because, you know, that’s what adults do when they’re caught in a lie.
And by the way, have you seen the books about Elon Musk on Amazon? There are some really great ones that delve into his, uh, let’s call them “personality traits”. But I digress.
So, Musk claims that two astronauts, NASA‘s Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, were abandoned in space for “political reasons”. But, it turns out they’re actually just stuck on the International Space Station (ISS) because of some technical issues with Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft. Not exactly the same thing, as CNN reported.
Now, I’m no rocket scientist (although, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night), but even I know that NASA doesn’t just leave people floating around in space without a plan. And, as Danish engineer and astronaut Andreas Mogensen pointed out, Musk’s claim is just a big ol’ lie.
But, of course, Musk couldn’t just leave it at that. He had to go and respond to Mogensen with some good old-fashioned name-calling. Because, you know, that’s what grown-ups do when they’re wrong. And, by the way, has anyone noticed that Musk seems to have a pretty big ego? Just saying.
And then, to make matters worse, Williams and Wilmore themselves had to come out and say, “Uh, no, we’re not abandoned, we’re just waiting for a safe ride home”. I mean, can you imagine having to deal with that level of drama in space? It’s like being stuck in a bad marriage, but with more spacewalks.
But, I guess that’s just what happens when you’re dealing with someone like Elon Musk, who seems to think that he’s above the law (or at least, above the truth). And, by the way, has anyone noticed that he’s been reviewing NASA’s spending while also benefiting from federal contracts? Yeah, that’s not a conflict of interest at all.
Anyway, it looks like Musk wants to deorbit the ISS now, because, you know, it’s served its purpose. And by “served its purpose”, I mean “stopped being useful for Musk’s ego and wallet”. Because, let’s be real, this is all just about Musk’s ego and his desire to go to Mars.
And, finally, can someone please explain to me why Musk thinks he gets to decide when the ISS should be deorbited? I mean, isn’t that a decision for, I don’t know, NASA and the White House to make? Or is Musk just suffering from delusions of grandeur again?
But, hey, what do I know? I’m just a humble blogger, not a billionaire entrepreneur with a huge ego. Maybe Musk knows something I don’t. Maybe he really does get to decide when the ISS should be deorbited. Maybe he’s just the king of space and we’re all just his subjects.
And, by the way, have you seen the books on space exploration on Amazon? There are some really great ones that delve into the history of NASA and the space race. But I digress.
So, what’s the takeaway from all this? Well, for one, Elon Musk is still a Twitter-obsessed billionaire with a huge ego and a penchant for lying. And two, NASA is still trying to explore space and make new discoveries, despite Musk’s best efforts to sabotage them.
But, hey, at least Musk is consistent, right? I mean, he’s always been a controversy magnet, and this is just the latest example of that. So, if you’re looking for a space drama filled with twists and turns, then Elon Musk is your guy. Just don’t expect him to tell the truth or anything.

P.S. – If you’re interested in learning more about NASA and space exploration, I highly recommend checking out some of the space documentaries on Amazon. They’re really informative and entertaining, and they’ll give you a much better understanding of what’s going on in the space industry.
And, as a final note, I just want to say that Elon Musk is a complex figure with a lot of contradictions. On the one hand, he’s a visionary who’s pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in space exploration. On the other hand, he’s also a self-absorbed billionaire who’s more interested in stirring up controversy than in actually making a positive impact. So, it’s hard to know what to make of him, but one thing’s for sure: he’s always interesting to watch.
