Congress in Crisis: Desperate Lawmakers Search for Elon Musk to Please Tell Them What to Do with Their Lives

4 Min Read

I mean, can you believe this guy, Rep. John Larson, Rep. John Larson (D-CT), is going crazy because his buddies in the Republican party won’t let Elon Musk testify in front of the House Ways and Means Committee – what’s the point of even having a committee if you’re not going to let the real decision-makers speak, am I right?

And don’t even get me started on House Ways and Means Committee, I mean, what do they actually do all day, just sit around and shout at each other like a bunch of kids in a sandbox, it’s like, hello, grown-ups, can we please just get some work done here?

But, I guess that’s just the way it goes when you’ve got a congress full of people who can’t even agree on what day it is, let alone something as complicated as, say, tax reform, or, you know, not letting a billionaire testify in front of a committee, because, clearly, that’s not a conflict of interest at all.

And, by the way, has anyone else noticed that every time there’s a hearing or a committee meeting, it’s always the same old he said, she said nonsense, I mean, can’t we all just get along, or, you know, at least pretend to be adults for one second?

But, no, instead we get shouting matches and twitter rants, and, of course, the obligatory low approval ratings, because, let’s face it, who actually thinks the congress is doing a good job, I mean, besides the lobbyists, of course?

And, speaking of lobbyists, has anyone else noticed that they’re basically the only ones who seem to be getting any work done in this city, I mean, they’re the ones who actually seem to know what’s going on, unlike the representatives themselves, who seem to be too busy yelling at each other to actually, you know, represent their constituents?

But, hey, what do I know, I’m just a civilian, what could I possibly understand about the inner workings of the congress, I mean, it’s not like I’ve been watching the same c-span footage for years, or anything, (and, by the way, if you haven’t seen the c-span clips of the representatives shouting at each other, you need to, it’s like a soap opera, but, you know, with more gavels).

And, on a completely unrelated note, has anyone else tried the new coffee maker from keurig, because, let me tell you, it’s a game changer, I mean, I’m not even kidding, it’s like a life changer, I’m never going back to drip coffee again, it’s like, why settle for meh when you can have amazing, right?

But, I digress, back to the congress, and their shouting matches, I mean, can we please just get some adults in the room, or, you know, at least some people who are interested in actually getting something done, instead of just grandstanding for the cameras, because, let’s face it, that’s all this is, a big show, and, honestly, I’m just over it.
