Canada’s First Ministers have agreed to take bold action to strengthen the country’s domestic economy in response to the United States’ tariffs on Canadian goods. The plan includes reducing barriers to internal trade and labour mobility across the country.
The Committee on Internal Trade will work to develop a service standard of 30 days or better to get people working faster and provide a plan for Canada-wide credential recognition by June 1, 2025. The goal is to make it easier for Canadians to do business with each other and to increase the country’s economic resilience.
