The European Union has offered the United States a “_zero-for-zero_” tariff deal on cars and industrial goods.
The EU remains open to talks, but will not wait endlessly to defend itself.
The EU trade commissioner, Maros Šefčovič, proposed zero tariffs on cars and industrial goods, including pharmaceutical products and machinery, during a meeting with the US commerce secretary.
Šefčovič stated that the EU is ready to discuss and look at things, but it has to be a mutually advantageous solution.
