Clashes between Syrian security forces and supporters of former President Bashar al-Assad have resulted in over 225 deaths, according to the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR).
The violence, which began on Thursday, has been concentrated in the Latakia and Tartous regions, with the Syrian government reporting at least 150 of their security forces killed and 300 captured, while the SNHR alleges widespread field executions of young men and adult males.
