Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein has formally invited his Syrian counterpart, Asaad Al-Shaibani, to visit Baghdad next week to strengthen diplomatic ties between the two neighboring countries.
The visit is expected to focus on bilateral relations, regional security, and avenues for enhanced collaboration, with both nations having significant opportunities for cooperation in economic, investment, and security sectors.
