Australia has declined China’s invitation to join hands in resisting Donald Trump’s tariffs, with Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles stating that the country will pursue its own interests and focus on diversifying its trade.
Mr Marles emphasized that Australia will not be drawn into an economic confrontation between the US and China, and will instead prioritize its own national interests and seek to strengthen its economic resilience through more diverse trade relationships.
