‘AOC Calls Out Musk for Sucking the Life Out of Grandma’s Pension, Potentially Literally’

And let’s get this straight, Elon Musk is at it again, spewing nonsense about Social Security being a Ponzi scheme – I mean, who needs facts when you’ve got a Twitter account and a bad case of foot-in-mouth disease?
But, of course, this isn’t the first time he’s parroted this long-debunked right-wing claim, and I’m starting to think he’s just trying to distract us from his own questionable business dealings.
And have you seen the books written about this guy – it’s like a never-ending saga of ego and poor decision-making.

But, I guess when you’re making $8 million a day off the government, you can say whatever ridiculous thing pops into your head, like this gem: "Social Security is the biggest Ponzi scheme of all time" – yeah, because nothing says "Ponzi scheme" like a program that’s been successfully paying out benefits for 89 years without missing a single payment.
And let’s not forget the advocacy group Social Security Works, which is basically the voice of reason in this whole debacle, pointing out that Social Security is actually 90% funded for the next quarter-century – but hey, who needs facts when you’ve got a billionaire with a megaphone?
And by the way, has anyone seen the lieutenants he’s got working on his behalf – it’s like a whole team of yes-men and women just waiting to carry out his next hare-brained scheme.

Now, I’m no economist, but even I know that Social Security isn’t a Ponzi scheme – it’s a vital anti-poverty program that’s been lifting people out of poverty for decades, and it’s not like we can just replace it with some pie-in-the-sky alternative that only benefits the wealthy elite.
And don’t even get me started on the Trump administration’s efforts to gut the Social Security Administration – it’s like they’re trying to create a self-fulfilling prophecy of failure, you know, by cutting funding and staff, and then pointing to the inevitable delays and disruptions as "proof" that the program is flawed.
And have you seen the reviews from people who’ve had to deal with the SSA – it’s like a never-ending nightmare of bureaucracy and red tape.

But, in all seriousness, it’s not just Musk who’s the problem – it’s the whole system that allows billionaires to accumulate wealth and power, and then use that wealth and power to shape public policy to their advantage, often at the expense of the most vulnerable members of society.
And Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is spot on when she calls out Musk for being a "leech on the public" – I mean, who needs that kind of greed and selfishness in our society?
And by the way, has anyone seen the articles written about her – it’s like she’s the only adult in the room, speaking truth to power and fighting for the little guy.

And then there’s Rep. Greg Casar, who makes the excellent point that "a guy who makes $8 million a day off the government thinks seniors getting $65 a day they worked their whole lives to earn is a ‘Ponzi scheme’" – I mean, what kind of moral bankruptcy does it take to say something like that?
And can we please just fire Elon Musk already, and get some people in charge who actually care about the welfare of the American people?
And have you seen the books written about the struggles of the working class – it’s like a never-ending story of struggle and perseverance.

But, in the end, it’s up to us to protect Social Security, and to make sure that our elected officials are working for the people, not just the wealthy elite – so let’s get out there and make some noise, and demand a better future for ourselves and for generations to come.
And as Bernie Sanders says, "You lift that cap, we can extend the solvency of Social Security for 75 years" – so what are we waiting for, let’s get to it and make it happen.
And by the way, has anyone seen the faq on the SSA website – it’s like a treasure trove of information on how to navigate the system.
