The United States has blocked access to the world’s largest cancer database, the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER), for thousands of Chinese scientists.
The move is part of a new round of US science policies targeting China, with researchers from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau being denied access to the database, which provides nationwide data on cancer incidence and treatments.
