I’m trying to read this super important article about how global business is reacting to some big economic changes, but noooo, I get hit with an “Access Denied” page – because, you know, the internet is just one big, happy, dysfunctional family (and by dysfunctional, I mean completely broken).
And, of course, the error message is about as helpful as a chocolate teapot, with a Reference #18.d6d5ce17.1743721480.17b162d1 that’s supposed to make me go “oh, yeah, that makes total sense” (spoiler alert: it doesn’t).
But, let’s get real for a second – I was trying to read about how economic alliances are forming in response to certain international relations – you know, the kind of stuff that can make or break global economies.
And, as I’m sitting here, trying to will the article into existence, I’m wondering – what’s the point of even having a website if you’re just going to deny people access to it? Is it like they’re trying to create some kind of exclusive club, where only certain people get to join in on the fun?
But, hey, at least the error page is html-friendly – I mean, who needs actual content when you can have a bunch of paragraph tags and anchor tags, right?
And, while I’m on the topic of web development, can someone please explain to me why it’s so hard to create a website that actually works? Is it like they’re trying to win some kind of beta test award or something?
But, I digress – back to the article at hand (or rather, the article that I wish I could read). Apparently, it’s about how certain countries are banding together to form some kind of economic alliance – and, let me tell you, it’s about time someone did something to shake things up in the global economy.
And, as I’m sitting here, waiting for the article to magically appear, I’m thinking – what’s the worst that could happen if I just, you know, bypassed the access denied page? Would the internet police come after me or something?
But, in all seriousness, it’s kind of infuriating when you’re trying to read something important and the website just decides to deny you access – I mean, what’s the point of even having a website if you’re not going to let people read it?
And, while I’m on the topic of website access, has anyone else noticed how some websites are just, like, super slow to load? Is it like they’re trying to win some kind of slowest website award or something?
But, hey, at least I can google the error message and find out what it means – which, spoiler alert, is basically just a bunch of html gibberish.
And, as I’m sitting here, trying to decipher the html code, I’m thinking – what’s the point of even having an error page if it’s not going to actually help you figure out what’s going on? Is it like they’re trying to create some kind of mystery or something?
