I’m literally on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what happens next in this trainwreck of a situation – and I’m sure you are too, because who doesn’t love a good politics drama? So, John Roberts is apparently trying to navigate this whole law thing, but like, does he really get it? I mean, come on, the Department of Justice has made it pretty clear that they’re more interested in protecting Donald Trump than in, you know, actual justice. And then, to make matters worse, Trump goes and claims that the Supreme Court has ruled in his favor, which is just, like, totally not true – but hey, when has truth ever mattered in politics, right?
But, I mean, seriously, what is John Roberts thinking? Is he just oblivious to the fact that the DOJ is basically a Trump fan club at this point? And what’s with this whole comment section, where people are just, like, sharing their thoughts and stuff? I guess it’s nice to have a place to vent, but, like, is anyone actually listening? Anyway, Ben Wittes wrote this article about how the legal system is basically delusional, and I’m like, totally on board with that. I mean, who needs law books when you have Trump‘s tweets, right?
And, oh yeah, Trump met with Bukele and just, like, totally misrepresented the Supreme Court ruling – but, like, what’s new, right? It’s not like he’s ever been known for his truthfulness or anything. But, seriously, what’s the Supreme Court going to do about it? Will they just, like, let him get away with it, or will they actually do something? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see – but, like, I’m not holding my breath or anything. In the meantime, I’ll just be over here, shopping for politics-themed gifts for my friends and family, because, why not?
But, I mean, can we talk about how Paul Krugman is, like, going to be on this Substack Live thingy tomorrow? I’m like, super excited to hear what he has to say – and, like, maybe I’ll even learn something new. Maybe. Possibly. Hopefully? And, hey, if you want to leave a comment, go for it – I’m sure someone will, like, read it or something. But, like, don’t expect me to, like, respond or anything – I’ll be too busy eating coffee and watching the politics news roll in.
And, oh yeah, I almost forgot – the Supreme Court is, like, super important and stuff, and we should all, like, care about it and whatnot. But, like, let’s be real – it’s not like they’re, like, perfect or anything. I mean, have you seen some of the decisions they’ve made? Crazy, right? But, hey, at least they’re, like, trying – and, like, that’s more than I can say for some people cough Trump cough. Anyway, I’m like, totally done with this article now – go read it or something, I guess. Or, like, don’t – I won’t judge you or anything. Much. Maybe. Possibly.
But, I mean, can we talk about how law and order is, like, super important in a society? I mean, without it, we’d just be, like, a bunch of Lord of the Flies style chaos – and, like, who wants that? Not me, that’s for sure. So, like, let’s all just, like, follow the law and stuff, and maybe we’ll, like, be okay. Maybe. Possibly. Hopefully? But, like, I’m not holding my breath or anything – because, let’s be real, Trump is, like, still out there, and he’s, like, not exactly known for his law-abiding ways. Ugh, I need more coffee.
