Iran is set to engage in indirect talks with the US on Saturday to discuss its nuclear programme, with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stating that Iran is “ready to engage in earnest and with a view to seal a deal”.
The talks, to be held in Oman, come after US President Donald Trump announced that he wants a deal to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, and warned that Iran would be in “great danger” if talks are not successful, with Iran insisting its nuclear activities are peaceful and it will never seek to develop or acquire nuclear weapons.
