Okay, let’s get this straight, the president is essentially telling auto companies not to hike prices after his tariffs kick in, or else… or else what, exactly? According to The Wall Street Journal, he’s going to give them the stink-eye?
And don’t even get me started on the absurdity of this whole situation – I mean, the president’s goal is to rebuild the nation’s industrial base, but his methods are going to end up killing manufacturing jobs, including in the auto industry, all because he’s trying to avoid a green future.
But, and this is a big but, his extortion tactics are getting attention, and people are finally starting to call him out on it – about time, if you ask me, I mean, who tries to impose a 25 percent tariff on all imported vehicles and parts, and then tells companies not to raise prices?
It’s like he wants to have his cake and eat it too, or in this case, raise prices without actually raising prices – it’s just not how economics work, folks, I mean, come on.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that this whole situation is a hot mess, and I’m not sure how much more of this tariff talk I can take – can we just go back to normal politics for a second?
Or am I just dreaming, and this is what we’re stuck with now – a world where extortion is the new norm, and we’re all just supposed to be okay with it?
By the way, has anyone else noticed that these tariffs are going to raise auto prices by thousands of dollars – like, who can afford that, right?
And what’s with the limited tariff plans – are those supposed to make us feel better about the whole situation, or something?
I mean, can we breathe a sigh of relief now, or is this all just a temporary reprieve from the tariff chaos?
And, on a completely unrelated note, has anyone tried coffee from Italy – it’s supposed to be amazing, or so I’ve heard.
But, I digress – back to the tariff situation at hand, because, let’s be real, it’s not like it’s going away anytime soon.
So, what’s the endgame here – are we just going to keep imposing tariffs until… until what, exactly?
Is it just me, or does it feel like we’re living in some kind of bizarro world where extortion is okay, and tariffs are the answer to all our problems?
And, can we please, for the love of all things sane, just take a step back and look at the big picture here – I mean, what’s the real goal of these tariffs, anyway?
Is it to help the economy, or is it just to, I don’t know, confuse everyone and make them question reality itself?
I guess only time will tell, but until then, let’s all just take a deep breath and try to make sense of it all.
Or, you know, we could just throw our hands up in the air and admit that we have no idea what’s going on, and that’s okay, because, let’s be real, nobody really knows what’s going on, anyway.
