I am absolutely losing my mind over this story – Donald Trump‘s CIA director, John Ratcliffe, is trying to blame the Joe Biden administration for his own mistakes, and it’s just too rich.
But let’s get into the details – Ratcliffe was part of a group chat on the Signal messaging app, where top Trump administration officials discussed an impending military strike on Yemen, and somehow, Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor of The Atlantic, got added to the chat – I mean, what could possibly go wrong, right?
And then, Ratcliffe has the nerve to claim that he didn’t use Signal for discussing classified information, and that he didn’t believe the discussion of the military operation was or should be “classified” – are you kidding me?
But, of course, the intelligence community had already warned against using Signal due to a newly discovered vulnerability, so maybe Ratcliffe just thought he was being clever – or maybe he just didn’t care about the security risks.
Now, I know what you’re thinking – how did this happen, and who’s responsible? Well, according to Pete Hegseth, the Defense Secretary, he provided a detailed preview of the military strike, including what weapons would be used, over what period of time, and in what sequence – I mean, it’s not like this is sensitive information or anything.
And, of course, national security experts are having a field day with this one – I mean, who needs classified information when you can just discuss it on a public messaging app?
But, in all seriousness, this is a huge deal – the Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, refused to answer questions about whether she used her personal or government phone on the group chat, citing an ongoing review by the National Security Council – I mean, what are they hiding?
And, as if all this wasn’t enough, Mike Waltz, the national security adviser, claimed he had no idea how Jeffrey Goldberg got added to the group chat – I mean, come on, guys, get your story straight.
Anyway, I’m done ranting about this for now – if you want to learn more about national security, I’d recommend checking out some books on Amazon.
But, seriously, this is a huge security risk, and someone needs to be held accountable – maybe I’ll just have to write a spy novel about it, because this is just too crazy to be real.
And, as a side note, if you’re interested in learning more about cryptography, I’d recommend checking out some books on the subject – because, clearly, the Trump administration could use some lessons on how to keep secrets.
But, I digress – the point is, this is a huge scandal, and someone needs to be held accountable – and, if you’re interested in learning more, I’d recommend checking out some news articles on the subject.
And, finally, I just want to say – what a mess – I mean, who needs enemy of the state when you have the Trump administration?
But, in all seriousness, this is a huge deal, and we need to make sure that our national security is protected – and, if that means impeaching some people, then so be it.
And, as a final note, I just want to say – if you’re interested in learning more about politics, I’d recommend checking out some books on the subject – because, clearly, we need some more educated people in this country.
But, I’m done now – I hope you enjoyed this rant, and I’ll see you next time – and, if you’re interested in learning more about national security, I’d recommend checking out some books on the subject.
And, as a final, final note – I just want to say – can we please just have a normal president for once?
But, I guess that’s just too much to ask – and, if you’re interested in learning more about politics, I’d recommend checking out some books on the subject – because, clearly, we need some more educated people in this country.
Anyway, I’m really done now – I hope you enjoyed this rant, and I’ll see you next time – and, if you’re interested in learning more about national security, I’d recommend checking out some books on the subject.
But, wait, I’m not really done – I just want to say – can we please just have a normal government for once?
And, finally, I just want to say – I’m exhausted – this administration is exhausting – and, if you’re interested in learning more about politics, I’d recommend checking out some books on the subject – because, clearly, we need some more educated people in this country.
But, I’m really, really done now – I hope you enjoyed this rant, and I’ll see you next time – and, if you’re interested in learning more about national security, I’d recommend checking out some books on the subject.
And, as a final, final, final note – I just want to say – thanks for reading – and, if you’re interested in learning more about politics, I’d recommend checking out some books on the subject – because, clearly, we need some more educated people in this country.
