I’m trying to write about this super important news story, but apparently, I don’t have permission to access it (yeah, because that’s exactly what I wanted to do with my day – get denied access to a website). And, of course, I get this incredibly helpful error message that says http://www.9news.com/video/news/local/next/next-with-kyle-clark/new-york-times-reports-musk-donated-6600-to-colorado-rep-lauren-boebert/73-c2e4a358-945e-4740-907c-4b94b340acb1 is off-limits (because, you know, it’s not like I have better things to do than try to access a forbidden webpage).
But, wait, what was I supposed to be writing about again? Oh right, some news article (which, by the way, I still can’t access – thanks for that, error message). Apparently, it had something to do with The New York Times reporting on some donation made by Elon Musk to some politician (I think it was Lauren Boebert, but don’t quote me on that, since I still haven’t seen the actual article).
And, I mean, can we talk about how ridiculous it is that I’m even trying to write about this? I’m basically flying blind here, with no actual information to work with (except for this totally-not-helpful error message that just keeps giving – Reference #18.d7641102.1742820231.283c8598, yeah, that’s super useful). But hey, at least I can link to the error page itself, right? I mean, who needs actual news when you can just read about the errors you get when trying to access the news?
But, in all seriousness (just for a moment, don’t worry), I really wish I could read this article, because it seems like it could be kind of a big deal (or, at the very least, a moderately interesting news story). I mean, Elon Musk donating money to politicians is not exactly unheard of, but still, it’s not every day you see someone like him making headlines for their generosity (or, you know, attempting to buy influence, depending on how you look at it).
And, on a completely unrelated note (because, why not?), have you guys tried coffee lately? I mean, I know I have, and let me tell you, it’s a real game-changer (or, at the very least, a mood-changer, which is basically the same thing, right?). But, I digress (as one does when they’re trying to write about a news article they can’t access).
But, I suppose what I’m really trying to say here (in a very roundabout way) is that it’s pretty frustrating when you’re trying to write about something, but you can’t even access the information you need. I mean, what’s the point of even having a news website if you’re just going to deny people access to it? It’s like, what are they even hiding? (Or, you know, maybe it’s just a technical issue, but where’s the fun in that?).
And, finally (because I’m done ranting now), if you’re interested in learning more about Elon Musk’s latest endeavors, I recommend checking out some other reputable news sources (you know, the ones that don’t give you error messages when you try to access them).
