So, I’m reading this insane story about Bradley Bartell, a guy from Wisconsin whose wife, Camila Muñoz, is being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) – and I’m just thinking, what is wrong with people?
But, I mean, let’s get real here, Trump did promise to deport everyone like Muñoz starting “day one,” so… And, I guess, it’s not like Bartell didn’t know this was a possibility when he voted for Trump, right? I mean, come on, the writing was on the wall – or rather, the writing was on the wall that Trump wanted to build.
Now, initially, people were all like, “Oh, Bartell must be regretting his vote,” but, as Amanda Marcotte pointed out, that’s not what he said at all – he just said, “It doesn’t make any sense,” which, let’s be real, is just a nice way of saying, “I’m not taking responsibility for my actions.” And, honestly, it’s just so typical of Trump voters, who seem to be more concerned with “owning the libs” than, you know, actual human lives – like, have you seen the liberal tears mug on Amazon?
But, what’s even more ridiculous is that Bartell is now asking people to donate to a GoFundMe to raise cash for Muñoz’s bond, while still insisting that he doesn’t regret his vote – I mean, what is this, some kind of schadenfreude? And, let’s not forget, ICE is acting on Trump’s orders, which his press secretary Karoline Leavitt clarified in January – so, it’s not like Bartell can just pretend that Trump had nothing to do with this.
And, by the way, has anyone noticed how Republican voters seem to be more prone to, you know, dying from COVID-19? I mean, it’s not like it’s a coincidence or anything – it’s just that, you know, Trump’s vaccine skepticism and all that.
So, anyway, back to Bartell – I mean, the guy’s wife is in a detention center, and he’s still defending Trump? It’s just… wow. And, I guess, it’s not like he’s alone in this – there are plenty of other Trump voters out there who are just as delusional.
And, let’s talk about Rebecca Watson’s video on this topic – she’s absolutely right that it’s not as simple as just being nice to Trump voters and expecting them to wake up. I mean, these people have been brainwashed with propaganda and conspiracy theories – it’s like trying to de-program a cult member or something.
But, hey, at least there’s hope, right? I mean, Trump’s approval ratings are slipping, and maybe, just maybe, some of these low-information voters will come to their senses. Maybe they’ll realize that, you know, facts matter, and that Trump’s lies aren’t going to cut it anymore.
So, to all the Bartells out there, let me just say – wake up, guys. It’s time to stop drinking the Kool-Aid and start paying attention to reality. Your wives, your families, your lives – they’re all worth more than your precious Trump votes. And, who knows, you might just find that truth is a pretty cool thing to cling to, rather than, you know, alternative facts.
Oh, and by the way, if you want to read more about this topic, I recommend checking out Amanda Marcotte’s newsletter – it’s got some great insights into the world of Trumpism and its, uh, “delights.” And, if you’re feeling generous, maybe toss a few bucks into the GoFundMe for Muñoz’s bond – I mean, every little bit helps, right?
But, I guess, what I’m really trying to say here is – critical thinking is key, people. Don’t just swallow the propaganda and expect everything to be okay. It’s time to start questioning, to start thinking for yourselves – and, who knows, you might just find that the truth is out there, waiting for you.
