Federal Judge Rules Trump Can’t Fire Democrat, Unless He Holds Breath and Stomps Foot Really Hard

7 Min Read

What a ridiculous ruling, and I mean that in the best possible way, because who needs a functioning government, right? US Judge has decided that Trump cannot fire a Democratic member of the Federal Labor Board, and I’m just over here wondering, what’s next, are they going to tell him he can’t fire his advisors on Twitter too?

And don’t even get me started on the implications of this, it’s like the judge is saying, “Hey, Trump, you can’t just get rid of people you don’t like, that’s not how it works”, but wait, isn’t that exactly how it works in Trump’s world? But, I guess that’s not the point, the point is that this judge is trying to bring some semblance of order to the chaos that is the Trump administration.

But, can we talk about the Federal Labor Board for a second, I mean, who even knows what they do, right? Amazon search results aren’t even helping me understand what their purpose is, it’s like they’re a secret society or something, and now we have a judge telling Trump he can’t fire someone from this mysterious organization.

What’s even more interesting is that this ruling is based on a federal law that prohibits the removal of board members without cause, and I’m just sitting here thinking, what cause could Trump possibly have for firing this person, I mean, did they not like his tie or something? And, can we please discuss the irony of the situation, where Trump, the king of “you’re fired”, is being told he can’t fire someone.

And, let’s not forget the political implications of this ruling, I mean, it’s not like Trump is going to take this lying down, he’s going to tweet about it, and then we’ll have a whole new controversy on our hands, because that’s just how it works in the world of Trump, and I’m just over here waiting for the next Twitter explosion.

But, in all seriousness, this ruling is a big deal, and it’s not just about Trump or the Federal Labor Board, it’s about the balance of power in our government, and the fact that there are still checks and balances in place to prevent one person from having too much power, and that’s something we should all be grateful for, even if it does mean that Trump can’t fire someone he doesn’t like.

What’s really frustrating about this whole situation is that it’s just another example of how polarized our country has become, I mean, can’t we all just get along, and I know that’s a ridiculous thing to say, but seriously, can’t we just have a functioning government without all the drama and controversy, is that too much to ask? Google search results are just filled with stories about Trump and his antics, and I’m just over here wondering, what about the rest of the world, don’t they have anything better to report on?

And, I know this is a bit of a tangent, but have you ever tried to buy a coffee maker online, it’s like they’re all trying to confuse you with their fancy features and whatnot, and I’m just over here thinking, can’t I just have a simple cup of coffee without all the fuss, but I guess that’s just the world we live in now, where even something as simple as coffee has to be complicated.

But, back to the topic at hand, this ruling is a big deal, and it’s not just about the Federal Labor Board, it’s about the future of our country, and the fact that we still have a system of checks and balances in place to prevent one person from having too much power, and that’s something we should all be grateful for, even if it does mean that Trump can’t fire someone he doesn’t like, and I’m just over here thinking, what’s next, are they going to tell him he can’t tweet anymore too? Wikipedia has a whole page on the Federal Labor Board, and I’m just sitting here reading it, trying to understand what they do, and it’s just so… confusing.

And, I guess what I’m trying to say is that this ruling is a good thing, it’s a reminder that our system of government is still working, even if it doesn’t always feel like it, and that’s something we should all be grateful for, even if it does mean that Trump can’t fire someone he doesn’t like, and I’m just over here thinking, what a relief, maybe now we can finally get some work done in this country, without all the drama and controversy, but I won’t hold my breath or anything.

But, can we talk about the hypocrisy of it all, I mean, Trump is always talking about how he wants to drain the swamp, but then he gets upset when someone tells him he can’t fire someone, and I’m just sitting here thinking, isn’t that just a bit rich, coming from the guy who’s always talking about how he wants to get rid of all the corruption in Washington, but then he gets upset when someone tries to hold him accountable, and I’m just over here shaking my head, wondering what’s going to happen next in this never-ending soap opera that is US politics.
