I’m still trying to wrap my head around this one, but apparently RFK Jr. thinks it would be better if everybody got measles, because, you know, herd immunity or something (I’m no expert, but isn’t that the exact opposite of how vaccines work?). And can we talk about how he’s still spewing this anti-vax nonsense despite being completely debunked by science?
But let’s get back to the issue at hand: measles, the highly contagious and potentially deadly disease that we’ve somehow managed to nearly eradicate in the US thanks to actual science and vaccines. I mean, who needs those when you’ve got essential oils and positive thinking, right? (Sorry, had to). And what’s with this guy’s obsession with measles, anyway? Is he trying to win some sort of bet or something?
And don’t even get me started on the whole “it’s just a harmless childhood disease” argument – newsflash: measles is not harmless, and it’s certainly not something you want to mess around with, especially if you’re immunocompromised or have a functioning brain. I mean, come on, RFK Jr., get with the times (or at least, you know, the scientific consensus). But hey, what do I know, I’m just a random person on the internet with a few questionable Google searches under my belt.
But in all seriousness, it’s concerning that someone with RFK Jr.’s platform is spreading misinformation about vaccines, and it’s imperative that we get the facts straight on this one. So, let’s talk about the actual risks associated with measles, and how vaccines have been proven time and time again to be safe and effective in preventing the spread of this disease. And while we’re at it, can someone please explain to me why RFK Jr. is still being taken seriously by anyone? Is it just me, or is this guy’s credibility on par with that of a crystal healer?
And what’s with the не.googlecode of vaccine deniers, anyway? Don’t they care about the wellbeing of their fellow human beings? Or are they just too busy sipping on their organic juice and complaining about big pharma to worry about the actual science? But I digress. The point is, RFK Jr.’s comments are not only misinformed, but they’re also dangerous, and it’s time someone called him out on it.
But, I mean, what’s the deal with the measles vaccine, anyway? Is it really that effective? And what about the side effects? Can someone please explain it to me like I’m five? And while we’re at it, can we talk about the economic impact of measles outbreaks? I mean, who actually benefits from this kind of misinformation being spread around? Is it just big pharma, or is there something more sinister at play here?
And, and, and… I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s just take a step back and look at the facts. Measles is a serious disease that can have devastating consequences, especially for vulnerable populations. And vaccines are proven to be safe and effective in preventing the spread of this disease. So, can we please just stick to the science and stop spreading mistruths about vaccines? Is that too much to ask? But, I guess that’s just the realist in me talking.
