Norway’s Parliament has voted unanimously to increase aid to Ukraine, with a total of NOK 85 billion (€7.24 billion) to be allocated. This decision comes after criticism from other European states and the USA.
Norway’s Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre, stated that the current security situation is the most serious since World War II, and the increased aid is necessary due to the uncertain support from the US. Norway’s large oil fund will be used to finance the commitment, highlighting the country’s economic capabilities and strategic position in Europe.
