The European Space Agency’s Ariane 6 rocket has successfully launched a French military satellite into space on its first commercial mission, guaranteeing independent access to space for France and Europe.
The rocket launched the CSO-3 satellite into orbit at an altitude of around 800 kilometres, completing an Earth observation system that will transmit high-resolution images to France’s military and its European partners.
