Donald Trump’s Approval Rating Sinks Lower Than His Hairline on Foreign Policy

5 Min Read

Can you believe it, folks? Donald Trump is facing a decline in his approval ratings over his handling of foreign policy, and I’m shocked, SHOCKED! According to a new poll conducted by Reuters and Ipsos, a whopping 37 percent of respondents approve of the way Trump is handling foreign policy, while a staggering 50 percent disapprove, giving the president a net approval rating of -13 points. And let me tell you, that’s a whole lot of people who are just not impressed with Trump’s foreign policy antics.

And what’s behind this decline, you ask? Well, it seems Trump’s foreign policy decisions, particularly regarding Ukraine and Gaza, have sparked criticism not only from Democrats, but also from some members of his own party. I mean, who wouldn’t criticize Trump’s suggestion that the U.S. could “take over” Gaza and send American troops to the region? It’s not like that’s a recipe for disaster or anything. Republican South Carolina Senator Lindsay Graham called the proposal “problematic,” which is just a nice way of saying it’s a really bad idea.

But wait, it gets better! After Trump’s heated confrontation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last week, several Republicans criticized him publicly. Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “I am sick to my stomach as the administration appears to be walking away from our allies and embracing Putin, a threat to democracy and U.S. values around the world.” And I’m just over here thinking, “Uh, yeah, no kidding!” You can find more information about Trump’s foreign policy on Amazon.

And let’s not forget the latest poll, which shows that more people now believe that American foreign policy is headed in the wrong direction, with 49 percent agreeing in March, compared to 40 percent in January. I mean, it’s not like we didn’t see this coming or anything. The poll had a margin of error of +/- 3.1 percentage points, which is just a fancy way of saying that the results are probably pretty accurate. You can read more about the Ukrainian and U.S. officials meeting in Saudi Arabia to discuss working toward ending the war with Russia.

But what does it all mean, you ask? Well, it means that Trump’s foreign policy decisions are not only unpopular, but they’re also potentially disastrous. I mean, who thought it was a good idea to suggest taking over Gaza? It’s not like that’s a volatile region or anything. And what about Ukraine? Is Trump just going to let Putin walk all over them? It’s just so…so…Trump. You can find more information about the Gaza conflict on Amazon.

And don’t even get me started on the whole “preparations are underway” for a meeting between Trump and Putin. I mean, what could possibly go wrong with that? It’s not like Trump has a history of being, shall we say, “diplomatically challenged” or anything. But hey, maybe he’ll surprise us all and come out of the meeting with a brilliant new plan for world peace. Ha! Who am I kidding? You can read more about the potential meeting between Trump and Putin on Newsweek.

Anyway, that’s my two cents on the whole Trump foreign policy debacle. What do you think, folks? Are you as shocked and appalled as I am? Let me know in the comments! And if you’re interested in learning more about the Ukraine conflict, you can find plenty of information on Amazon.

But wait, there’s more! If you’re interested in reading more about foreign policy, you can check out Newsweek’s coverage of the topic. And if you’re looking for a good book on the subject, you can try this search on Amazon. Happy reading, folks!

And finally, I just want to say that I’m exhausted from writing about Trump’s foreign policy antics. I mean, it’s just so…so…draining. But hey, someone’s gotta do it, right? So, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go grab a cup of coffee and try to forget about all this craziness for a while. You can find a good cup of coffee on Amazon, by the way.
