Approximately 20 countries are interested in joining a “coalition of the willing” to support Ukraine, according to UK officials, with some potentially providing troops and others offering other forms of assistance.
The UK and France are leading the effort to establish a ceasefire in Ukraine, with a proposed one-month truce in the air, at sea, and on energy infrastructure, backed by a coalition of western countries, although Russia has rejected this proposal, stating it would be unacceptable without a final settlement, citing it as a “direct, official and unveiled involvement of Nato members in the war against Russia“.
