Elon Musk Shocked to Discover He Can’t Blame His Pet Monkey for DOGE Disaster This Time

4 Min Read

I’m just going to say it, the federal government is basically bleeding jobs right now, with a whopping 62,242 announced cuts from 17 different agencies, according to Challenger. And let’s be real, this is not just a minor setback, we’re talking about a staggering 41,311 percent increase over 2024, which is just, wow.

But wait, it gets even better, because apparently, the top reason for these job cuts is DOGE, which is responsible for a mind-boggling 63,583 layoffs of federal employees and contractors. I mean, what even is DOGE, and how did it become the reason for all these job losses?

And, of course, the Trump administration is trying to fudge the numbers to hide the true extent of the damage, because, you know, that’s exactly what you do when you’re in charge, right? You just manipulate the stats to make yourself look good, even if it means hurting the economy in the long run.

But, I guess, on the bright side, these federal government layoffs won’t show up in the government’s February monthly jobs report, because, conveniently, they took place outside of the survey week. And, you know, it’s not like this is going to have any ripple effects on the economy or anything, because, hey, who needs federal employees and contractors, right?

And, let’s not forget, the newly unemployed will be spending much less, which will, in turn, hurt other businesses, particularly in areas with a lot of federal employees, such as the Washington, D.C., metro area. I mean, it’s not like these people have bills to pay or anything, so, you know, no big deal.

But, seriously, can someone please explain to me why DOGE is the reason for all these job cuts? Is it because of some cryptocurrency-related chaos, or is it just a convenient excuse for the government to slash jobs left and right? I mean, I’m no expert, but it seems to me that this is just a recipe for disaster.

And, by the way, has anyone noticed that the government is trying to remove government spending from gross domestic product reports? I mean, what’s next, are they going to try to cook the books too?

But, I guess, that’s just the way the cookie crumbles, right? The government does what it wants, and we’re just along for the ride. And, hey, who needs transparency and accountability anyway, right?

And, on a completely unrelated note, has anyone tried coffee from Amazon? I mean, it’s not like it’s going to save the economy or anything, but, hey, a girl can dream, right?

But, back to the topic at hand, it’s just, I don’t know, it’s like the government is trying to pull the wool over our eyes, and it’s just not going to fly. I mean, we’re not stupid, we can see what’s going on, and it’s just, not good.

And, finally, can someone please just explain DOGE to me, like, in simple terms, so I can understand what’s going on? I mean, I’ve tried to read up on it, but it’s just, too confusing.

But, I guess, that’s just the way it is, and we’re just stuck with a bunch of unanswered questions, and a lot of unemployed people. And, hey, who knows, maybe someday we’ll get to the bottom of it all, but until then, we’re just stuck in this quagmire of uncertainty.
