Finland has announced a 660 million euro ($691 million) package to provide military equipment to Ukraine, focusing on the country’s critical needs. The equipment will be produced by Finland’s defense industry and delivered to Ukraine as part of future material aid packages.
The move marks a shift in Finland’s approach to supporting Ukraine, with the country previously donating from its surplus stocks. The new framework will see Finland ordering new military products from domestic companies to be sent to Ukraine, aiming to strengthen Ukraine’s chances for a just peace and Finland’s security industry.
