Elon Musk: The Nazi Debate Rages On, and I’m just over here like, what is going on with this guy? And, but, seriously, can someone please explain to me why Elon Musk thinks he’s not a Nazi just because he says so? (I mean, come on, that’s not how it works, right?)
Anyway, Joe Rogan’s podcast is where all the magic happens, and by magic, I mean a bunch of rich dudes talking about their feelings. So, Musk was on the show, and he’s all like, “Hey, I’m not a Nazi,” and I’m over here thinking, really, dude?
Now, I know what you’re thinking, what’s the big deal about SpaceX and Tesla CEO making a Nazi gesture? Well, let me tell you, it’s a pretty big deal, especially when you’re a public figure with a huge following. I mean, The Guardian reported that many people were outraged by the gesture, and rightly so.
But, and, I guess this is where things get interesting, Musk thinks that if you’re not committing genocide, then you can’t be called a Nazi. (Wait, what?) Like, what’s next, “I’m not a bad person, I just hate Jews and want to take over the world”? (Sorry, had to.) I mean, seriously though, Alternative for Germany party leaders have repurposed Nazi slogans, and we’re just supposed to be okay with that?
And, by the way, if you’re interested in learning more about the Alternative for Germany party, you can check out this link. Or, if you’re feeling generous, you can donate to anti-Nazi organizations. Just saying.
Now, I’m no expert, but it seems to me that Musk is trying to downplay the whole Nazi thing, and that’s just not going to fly. I mean, come on, if you’re going to make a Nazi gesture, at least have the decency to own up to it. But, hey, what do I know? Maybe I’m just being too sensitive. (Yeah, right.)
Anyway, US Rep. Jerry Nadler condemned the gesture, and several Jewish organizations spoke out against it. So, it’s not just me being a crazy person, there are actual people who care about this stuff.
But, I guess what really takes the cake is that Musk thinks he’s not a Nazi just because he says so. Like, dude, that’s not how it works. You can’t just say something and expect everyone to believe you. (Unless you’re a politician, then it’s totally fine.)
And, finally, I just want to say that if you’re feeling stressed out about all the hate and negativity in the world, just remember, self-care is important. So, go ahead, take a deep breath, and try to ignore all the crazy people in the world. (Just kidding, that’s not possible.)
In conclusion, Elon Musk is not a Nazi, or so he says. But, seriously though, can someone please explain to me why he thinks he’s not a Nazi? (I’m still waiting for an answer.) And, if you’re interested in learning more about the Nazi party, you can check out this link. Just saying.
