CBS Ordered to Pay Trump $20 Billion, Free Press, and Ego Massage Therapy Sessions for Life

5 Min Read

I am literally freaking out right now, and I’m not even kidding, because CBS is being sued by Trump for a whopping $20 billion, yes, you read that right, $20 billion, and I’m over here thinking, what is wrong with this guy?

And can we please just take a moment to appreciate the absurdity of this situation, like, a president suing a news organization for doing their job, it’s just, wow. But I guess that’s what happens when you have a thin-skinned president who can’t handle a little criticism, (I mean, have you seen his Twitter rants?).

And then I started thinking, what would happen if Trump actually wins this lawsuit, would that be the end of free press as we know it, would we all have to start reporting only good things about him, like, "Oh, Trump is so great, he’s the best president ever", no, just no, that’s not how this works, we need a free press to hold our leaders accountable.

But let’s get real here, CBS is not going to settle, they’re going to fight this all the way to the Supreme Court, because, well, they have to, it’s their job to report the news, even if it’s not Trump-friendly, and I’m sure they have a whole team of lawyers who are just waiting to take on this case, (I hope they’re all caffeinated and ready to go).

And have you seen the details of this lawsuit, it’s like, Trump is suing CBS for reporting on his, ahem, "alleged" wrongdoings, and I’m thinking, wait, isn’t that what journalists are supposed to do, report the news, even if it’s not favorable to the president, it’s just, Trump needs to get over himself.

But, you know, this whole thing has me wondering, what’s next, is Trump going to start suing all the other news organizations that report on him, like, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and all the others, it’s just, where does it end, and can we please just have a free speech again, without fear of being sued by the president.

And, on a completely unrelated note, has anyone tried those new Oreo cookies with the weird flavors, like, maple bacon, because, I mean, what’s next, pineapple pizza-flavored Oreos, no, just no.

But, I guess what I’m trying to say is, CBS needs to keep doing what they’re doing, reporting the news, even if it’s not Trump-friendly, because, well, that’s their job, and we need a free press to hold our leaders accountable, and, you know, to keep Trump in check, (I mean, someone has to, right?).

And, finally, can we please just take a moment to appreciate the First Amendment, because, without it, we wouldn’t have a free press, and, you know, Trump would probably be suing all of us for speaking our minds, (which, let’s be real, is probably already on his to-do list).

But, in all seriousness, this lawsuit is, like, a big deal, and we need to pay attention, because, if Trump wins, it could set a precedent for future presidents to sue news organizations, and, you know, that’s just not okay, (I mean, can you imagine a world where China can sue US news organizations for reporting on their human rights abuses, no, just no).

And, I guess what I’m trying to say is, we need to support CBS in this lawsuit, because, well, they’re fighting for our right to a free press, and, you know, we need to stand up for what’s right, even if it’s not popular, (I mean, who doesn’t love a good underdog story, right?).

But, for now, I’m just going to sit here, sipping my coffee, and waiting for the outcome of this lawsuit, because, well, it’s going to be a wild ride, (and, you know, maybe I’ll even get some popcorn to munch on while I’m watching the drama unfold).
