Russia has proposed an agreement to the Trump administration, offering the United States ownership of rare earth minerals and other valuable metals in parts of Ukraine controlled by the Russian military.
The proposal, discussed at a meeting in Saudi Arabia, could give the US access to minerals in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia, and may be seen as a countermove to Trump’s interest in Ukraine’s natural resources, with the potential to impact global economic development and world peace.
